I am in Quebec city, and we're getting 60 -65Mph winds right now, with gusts up to 80Mph. I have two big maple trees in front of my house, and they've got their ''hands'' full righ now... I just hope I wont have to use the chain saw tomorrow...

Power is back. I hope it'll stay this way. The weather channel still displays red warning and says the high winds warning will be in effect till 4h00am tomorrow.

Good your power is back on. Hope it stays on..

Back in Fla, we went 14 days with no power after a mean Cat 3 hurricane hit us directly..Can't remember the name of it, there were so many..

Glad to see Irene pulled her punches, and didn't unleash her full potential.

East or west coast? Andrew blew Homestead of the map as a cat 5, back in '91. My place didn't have any power for over a month, and we were eating our meals in tents set up in a school yard.

Parents took some damage on Folly Island according to the neighbor who checked on the house, its repairable and they'll get it back into shape quickly. They are heading home in the morning.

I just heard from friends in New York, they had four feet of water on the first floor before they got to high ground thanks to another resident with a small boat. Other friends in PA had been evacuated due to rising water, they still aren't allowed back in.

It sounds like nobody got hurt, which is the main thing. You can always replace the material things.
