Talking PT Convert in Eastern CT

Had my '02 PT Cruiser (5spd man non-turbo) for 12yrs and 192k miles and did a bunch of mods over the years. Loved it so I won't dis the PT's here. HOWEVER- it was time for a new car that can haul my drums and stuff around. Just found a black '09 HHRSS with the Brembo brakes and only 46K miles. YeeHaw! 260hp is SOOO much more fun than 150! Hope I don't get myself in trouble... LOL. Already seen some great tech tips here and lookin' forward to learning all about my new ride. Best of all seems to be NO MORE TIMING BELTS to worry about. Did that job on the PT 2x and it was a ***** in such a tight engine compartment. Also I think maybe I'll keep this one mostly stock and resist the urge to 'improve' on every little thing. I'm in eastern CT near the casinos (Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun). Any clubs out this way? I usually go the car show at Dodd Stadium in Norwich every summer. Thanx and hoping summer comes quick! -WinDaddy

Thanx everyone for the warm welcome! Promise I won't curse again on here - LOL. I've got 46k miles now so I'll be taking it in this spring for the big 50k/5yr service. Belt, tensioner, cooling flush, plugs, filters, trans flush & refill, etc... I know the manual says the manual tranny doesn't need fluid service, but I wanna get rid of any little shavings that may be lurking. I know I installed magnetic drain plugs on the (*other car*) and I hope I can find those also for the HHR. I may pop for the dealer-installed power upgrade too- the icing on the proverbial cake as it were. Mwahahahahah! The bass player in my band manages the service dept at a local cadillac/buick dealer, so I'll probably let him have at it. He likes that sort of stuff. Scranton Motors in (Columbia?) CT if anyone's interested.
