The windmills on Wachusett in Princeton, Mass are 1.5 mega-watt with 135 ft. blades

From Thompson Rd south of Wachusett

I thought I was having an LSD flashback when I saw them through the trees.
I knew there were some on Wachusett but I wasn't expecting them.

That's awesome that you get to drive by them all the time.

Calif has acres of them..looks like some alien moonscape

there are a few more then several on i-65 now. I stopped and took some photos of them last year. But there are at least several hundred of them now. Every time I drive up I see where they are adding at least 10 more

I think it's a pretty cool idea actually. I don't know about slapping it in the middle of the wilderness like in the original post here but along the expressway in the farms and fields is a great idea to reduce some dependency on regular energy.

There's one in New Haven, CT. Yes, just one lonely one... The location leaves you scratching your head though. I'll see if I can snap a pic and post it here.

Later

Ya there is windmill farm just south of San Fransico in the hills. My wife's company sells material to help make the windmills. The ones we have are nothing compared to what they have off the coast of Brazil and in Europe. They make ours look like toys.

It was a foggy morning in Harvard Mass.
Can you see the windmills on Mount Wachusett over there?
