WNY: Good dealer service?
WNY: Good dealer service?
Greetings all. Bought my SS used in the fall. I'm at about 25000 miles and need to take it in for service. Looking for recommendations for a good dealer. Right now I need alignment checked and the dreaded brake shudder/shake. Ideally, I'd find a dealer that's done the GMTU upgrade too. I bought it out on Grand Island from that "Huge" dealer. I live in North Buffalo, Paddock is just about in walking distance, which would be helpful. Anyone have suggestions for a competent, trustworthy dealer service department?

I would avoid west Herr. They claimed to inspect my wheel hub/bearing/cv joint, and couldn't find the problem....they didn't remove the tire....I know this because the noise was loose lug nuts....
I have had family work at basil, and havent had the best service there either. They refused to fix my CV joint on my old HHR because they didn't find anything wrong with it, then it was inspected a few months later, and my family mechanic told me it was going bad.....
So there is two toavoid IMO
I bought my HHR at Paddock Chevrolet.
It went back to them for warranty service about 5 or 6 times (themostat replacement, pulsing brakes, etc) and they did a good job. They were courteous and the work was done promptly. Also they have a good customer service shuttle to take you to work when you drop it off.
Now that it's out of warranty, I do the work myself.

Now I'm thinking it might have been from Basil on Transit. As I recall, he was pretty happy with the install job they did on the GMTU. Hopefully, I'll get some time and $ to get the GMTU done, and a few little things fixed before my 3/36K runs out.
