Are there any local clubs/groups and such in the Portland/Vancouver area? If not, is any one in the area interested in starting a local club? get together once a month, organize drives, stuff like that.

Hello, not sure if you are interested but we have a very good Cruiser Club in the Beaverton area and we welcome all makes of vehicles. We do have 1 HHR already. You can check out our website if you like tvccpt.com

My City-Slick Suburnban-esque (a' la 1949) Vintage Vehicle!
Purchased an '07 LT a mere two weeks ago, and I'm having fun flashing this Amythest urban-chic Retro Ride all over town! However, here's the deal folks: I'm a penny-pinchingly practical mid-life lady, and the low-profile wheels, as styled-out as they happen to be on this '40's Reminscent Ride, are a matter of concern from that practical perspective....
OK, here goes....please don't boooo (or, boot!) me out of this forum , but....
Would anyone care to swap out the stock wheels on my HHR for some standard sized rims and tires (typical 16" or 17" all-terrain tires with generic rims) of equal value??? ....Assuming that can be done, owing to sensors and what-not that are supposedly built in to the assembly somehow....(or, so the Chevy sales associate has stated).
I'm in Aurora, OR....I'm hoping there might be a HHR mentor in the area that can clue me in.
