Does this add HP to my SS?
My co-worker drove his 1972 Chevelle SS to work today and parked next to me.
I'm not sure if this is true, but I feel like my SS has gained some more HP just sitting next to it.

I am somewhat young and naive mind you, but I heard/read somewhere that, due to gas crisis and what not, the power numbers were often "skewed" to meet federal regulation, and actual power numbers were much higher. Any ideas/input?

Even with the 1970 numbers before the change they run: Performance: LS6 454/365: 0-60 in 6.0 sec, 1/4 mile in 14.35 sec @ 97mph. So out little SS holds it's own against it even stock 6.3 and 14.8 so dam close and we're missing a few cylinders. :) And the Chevelle SS was bad ass in it's time. We have an econo wagon. LOL
