I just looked at a couple threads on the rear wiper removal. I think the chrome little t-handle is just as guady as the wiper itself. If mine comes off, the hole will be filled and repainted. Maybe when I paint my spoiler. You're right, you really rely on that rear window with a panel. I did add 2" blindspot mirrors to the sides mirrors and they really help.

As for the black wheels, you sound like my brother! He just put some black 22's on his Expedition and thought I should do the same(smaller, of course). I really don't want the whole "blacked out" look, that's why I think the grill, wheels and exhaust tip will add some needed contrast.

If we ever see rain again, I won't be able to find the control to turn it on anyway --- but I do agree, getting rid of it on your sleeked out black would be a nice touch.

If you keep the car long enough, maybe your kid will graduate and buy you flames...

He'd better buy me a lot more than that!! As for the blackout on the taillights and sidemarkers, they are painted with regular clearcoat paint with a touch of black added.

I believe thats the same way the Bud did harveys tails, he said the heat has cuased slight cracking of the paint, were you aware of this and did you do something to try to prevent the cracking? I really want to do this to my taillights, except in blue but can't afford to screw it up.
Thanks

Been doing it this way for over 20 years, never a problem. You must make sure you scuff up the lenses with a scuff pad to rough them up so the paint will stick. Then paint and buff.
