What's sadder is looking at your fuel gauge and figuring you'll have to feed it in about 150 miles, heading back to NC in the morning and I will miss the "cheap" gas here in SC.

Yeah, but at least since I have two cars out now (and I just filled up the Lumina today) I can space it out so I don't need to get any for a while... But, I do want to empty the tank in the HHR since it's old gas from August. (Yes, I did put stabilizer in it, but still...)

Don't get too low, fuel pumps have been failing with the low gas levels that allow them to over-heat.

When I saw "Sad Day", I thought you had totalled your HHR! Whew, at least that didn't happen. FWIW, 50,000 miles is nothing... cars can make it to 250K-300K if you take care of them. I'm about to turn 150,000 within a month or two. I'll take a picture when I do. Good luck catching up! I see it as a halfway point, there's still a lot of life left in my car. The only "out of the ordinary" thing I've replaced on my HHR is the fan assembly, the rest has been routine maintenance, tires, brakes, suspension parts, oil changes. Oh, and what happened to CrazyCarKid? Did he die or something? JK
