Plasti Dip thread
 

I've seen plenty of Plasti Dip projects throughout the forum, but no "official" place to gather all the posts. I figured I'd make a thread dedicated to my favorite stuff ever invented :lol: I know some of you hate it, and some don't know what it is, but if you'd like to show off your "dip" jobs or just have a question, post 'em up :twothumbs:


Plasti Dip - "A colored rubberized coating that people can use to "modify" parts of their car at a cheap price. Easy to use, affordable, and a great way to customize your vehicle the way you want. They come in a variety of colors and instantly peels off if you want to change the color or go back to its stock color."

My first full car dip, using a custom mix of Camo Green & Black

My current color.. and favorite so far. I call it "Pocket-Change Pearl" :2cents: its a mix of 2:1 Copper to Gold pearl with a semi-gloss clear

Great thread lunchbox, and some great examples of what Plasti Dip can be used for. I used it for my winter wheels which were starting to not look that great after a couple of seasons - and they came out great, and are holding up very well after 2 or 3 seasons of use.

I'm not sure of the price of it elsewhere in Canada here, but our local supplier wants $18 a can!!!! So I've been picking it up down in the US at Home Depot for ~$6 a can.

Have you tried any of the other brands?

I really like the smooth rear gate!
