The reason I say that is if in a few years you want to sell it or trade it in, who knows if they would take a flat black one or give you a lot less for it. With the wrap, you can easily peel it off and it is back to stock.

This will peel off like a vinyl wrap...maybe a little more tedious but it comes off just the same.

Plasti-Dip peels off like a dream! Each panel will peel as one large stretchy sheet.

Think about this while you're thinking, Doc. The first thing I did when I got my H last month, was call a vinyl place about a flat black wrap. Close to $3k was the quote. I told him no thanks, I know painters and could get a flaked candy with hand done pin-striping for way less than that. The price of a wrap is retarded.

I think that was for the heat shrink vinyl that is used.......right. That would provide a little more durability.

wouldn't that defeat the purpose?

If prepped right , The plasti-dip is super strong , My buddy did his rims 3 months ago , And there are no marks at all as of today , We looked them over real good , And they look mint .
They look like they were sprayed today. And i see them a few times a week , They are holding up great.

Used to plasti dip my tools (no-not that one) a long time ago when they sold the dip in a tennis ball size can. Just dipped the tools in then let dry. Made decent "rubberized" handles.
