2006 Chevy HHR

I have a 2006 Chevy HHR that will not start. Prior to getting it into my garage and it not turning over again, I was driving it fine. I turned it off to run into AutoZone and when I came back out, I started the HHR, and then noticed i could not get it to go over 20 mph, without lifting my foot of gas then placing it on gas....like a "manual shifting". It barely went over 45 mph, so i was using city streets to get it home. I was lucky to get it into the garage, but then from that point on, it will not turn over. Does this sound like a transmission issue?

No. Is there a pretty CheckEngineLight on the dashboard? Do you ne4an the starter turns the engine but the engine does not start?

When I put key and turn initially, the lights come on like usual, but none stay on, when I turn key there is nothing, no trying to turn, just like a click- type sound

Sounds like the 4 bolts in the under hood fuse panel need tightening! Gorilla tight!

Kinda sounds like maybe your starter went... Had the same issue with an Impala I had. Started it up fine and went to the store. When I came out, wouldn't turn over and just made a clicking sound...

Have you been ignoring a CEL? Do you mean the headlights come on then go out? What is the battery voltage, at the battery and at the fuse box? All fuses in both fuse box seated?
