Unhappy 2007 fuel injector problems w/ 2.4

2007 2.4 engine.
Service light on/off, replaced gas cap, dealer says there is a TSB on cleaning injectors, had that done...service engine light on again, dealer says I have a bad injector and has to order part...says it's ok to drive on 3 cylinders until part comes in ( week ), I'm parking HHR and driving Solstice until fixed properly.
I did a search on here and found one post about this.
Any1 else having these troubles?

Strange how they had to backorder an injector...those aren't specific to just that engine.

NO do not drive with a bad injector! I would not. Why no loaner?
If your car is unsafe to drive and under wart. have them get you a car !!!!! A car running on three cyl. is not safe to drive!

Did you pay to have injector's cleaned? I hope not. Do they know why it needs a injector ? leaking, not opening, elec. short, elec. open, ECM not controling it?

I had this happen to me awhile ago. I got a loaner but it was fixed the next day. I looked up the post. looks like it was almost a year ago to the day.

Get a loaner. I would refuse to drive the car with 3 cylinders. I can't believe the dealer would say that to you. Speak to the dealer again and if you don't get the loaner call GM.

Hey listen...I'm not sure how the entire fuel, spark, ignite, exhaust system works BUT.......

It doesn't make good mechanical sense to drive a vehicle that is not providing fuel to the cylinder, but still igniting the spark plug and not continuing with proper combustion.

Let's see....a 2.4 ltr. with 172 hp...one cylinder down....172 divided by 4....129 hp....not good for gas mileage, engine longevity, possible overheating (pulling 3300+ pounds)... I think that all equals a rental vehicle.

Get the rental, I refused to drive mine when it happened. They did get me a rental (Malibu) and got it back in 2 day's (Had to wait for part). No problems since 10/05!

I unnerstand the situation and can afford to drive my Solstice while I wait...that's not my question tho. I'm trying to find out if anyone else has had this same problem, so I can document other troubles to my dealer.
I don't use loaners or rentals unless I really need to, I guess I just believe in needing favors until I really need a favor, and not just for the convience.
I do appreciate the comments and suggestions and don't mean to sound arrogant or not appreciative. I just don't need a loaner at this time, but when I do, I'll make sure I get one...and can use this situation to get it.
Thanks guys.

If you were driving one of there cars your car would be fixed a lot faster!! part on order, down in shop, cust in rental!! part would be there in two days, Thats the GM way. I use to do it that way all the time to get parts faster. A week is just a normal part order time 7 to 10 days again the GM way
