scanner shows codes P0030 and P0053. I saw the posts about the flex pipe but i heard no unusual exhaust noises. Thanks

Neither of those codes has anything to do with the flex pipe. They both refer to the #1 O2 sensor heater.

Either a wire is laying on the exhaust or the #1 O2 sensor is bad. The emissions fuse is probably blown; that could be either the cause or the effect there should be a bunch more codes.

ok thanks Don. Ill check the fuse and the O2 sensor. I have the cheap harbor freight code reader and it showed codes $7E8 and $7EA and I read elsewhere on here that they translate to the two codes I posted. I imagine the cheap code reader may be missing some of the codes.

Read the rest of those threads. Those "codes" are the reader saying "I don't know". They are reader error codes.
