2007 hhr throttle body & pedal sensor codes

This morning took 10 key turns to turn over/start and engine light/"REDUCED ENGINE POWER.Still drove down the street and suddenly resumed power and stopped at my driveway. Later started it,light was gone, ect.Drove probably 10 miles then resumed with reduced power, made it home going 10 miles an hr.2 hrs later had to turn key several times again. While idling with the light on and reduced.... I played with wiring harniss,i.e, light shake and stalled engine. Is that normal?:clueless:

"Is that normal?" Yup they all do that on a regular basis.

Of course they don't - but without you providing the downloaded code from the engine check light/OBDII system, anything most of us could suggest would just be a wild guess, which would not get you anywhere. So get the code downloaded and post it here, and the members will try and point you in the right direction.

Have you by any chance had some recent work on the engine, such as new spark plugs or replaced the air filter?

2007 ok, which engine? Transmission?
What is the MIL code?
Just as an educated guess it seems to me your battery is dying possible a dead cell or the code will be P0016 , the timing chain is stretched and skipped a tooth or two.
Or it could be a loose fuse box under the hood.

Best you start with the Code, your local parts palace can pull them for you
We need the code and not the counter jockey explanation ( their guess is usually wrong)

As whopper said " throttle body & pedal sensor codes" does not tell any body anything; especially if it was the kid at AutoZone that said it.

It is rare to have both.

Some history on this car is needed to make any conclusions. After reading some of the OP's other posts, I can see that this car has had some repairs done to it. Those may be related to the present issue, may not.

1st. Pull the code numbers and post them here. They will at least tell you general area that the sensors see abnormal readings.

The reduced power comes so the engine doesn't blow itself up. its doing that to help you not to cause issues, but to prevent further damage. Get it somewhere and have it looked at!!

The OP hasn't been back since posting this, so let's give them time to respond
