2008 hhr

We helped someone out by giving a jump start and now the power steering wont work. Help! What is wrong with my car?

you must have blow the fuse..happend to me before, felt like turning a boat lol

You did not hook it up properly, and blew the power steering fuse. A number of people have had the same problem.

Check the Owners manual for the location of the power steering fuse, and also read up on how to properly hook up the jumper cables under the hood.

Thank you all. I suspected it was a fuse. Can I get it at the auto parts store or do I need to go to the Chevy dealership. My car is no longer under warranty so how much will this cost me? What is the least expensive way?

Head to your local auto parts store, the fuse is less than $5 usually. Just pop in a new one and you're good to go.

Check out a local auto parts store I have been having great luck with O'Reilly's
lately. Just saying the word "dealership" adds $20 to any part lol
