2008 hhr ac compressor

Driving yesterday on the expressway with ac on had no issues, then outa the blue it started blowing cool not cold. Then just blew like the vent was on, the ac compressor is new from August last year and pressure switch was new also, anyone have a idea why the compressor won't run, clutch spins by hand and if I put a gauge on it it shoots to the red and will not take any freon please help!!!

Sounds like it's overcharged

2008 hhr

Good morning group, there is no ck engine light on, and I pulled the cap on the low pressure side to release any freon if over charged. All I got out seemed like cool air and then the uv green I put my gauge and bottle on and it was reading in the green, I added a few pulls of the trigger and then it shot up just before red, no luck compressor still would not kick on, all fuses and relays are good( I swape them out) what baffles me is this compressor is brand new from Aug last year and has been working fine, any more ideas you might think of?

Some problems set codes, that turn off the AC . Perhaps it’s a pending code, say P0128.
even though there is no check engine light, if you have a code reader or have to go to a local parts palace.
Have the codes read and post them here.

I have been to the autoparts store, and they've scanned my computer. The only code that showed up was a history code for my o2 sensor, they guy at autozone really couldn't give me any ideas why it would just stop working

I am not an AC guy.
How does one check/fill the freon without the compressor running?
I don't see any mention of troubleshooting the electric clutch.
When the compressor was replaced was the complete system flushed or (hopefully) replaced. If the old compressor blew up it left lots of crap behind.
What about the AC diode #9 underhood?

The old compress never blew up,so no nothing was blown out and yes not sure why or how I've been told it's over charged, the Chevy dealer did everything last August and it's been running fine.Autozone never gave me the code just told be the history code with o2 sensor, there is advanced auto parts near me and I'll run over there to see what if any codes pop up and get back to here later, thanks
