2008 HHR Wet Passenger Floorboard - NOT RAIN!
 

Ok, so I know the earlier year models had the cowl leak issue where it can get plugged up and water will back up during a hard rain.
That is not what is happening here. We haven't had any rain in two weeks, but after an hour driving on Saturday, my pasenger floorboard was soaked. Yesterday, after two hours driving and after a hard turn, it sounded like someone was pouring out a pitcher into the floorboard from the dashboard.
In a previous car, this was the result of an small AC hose coming loose under the dash. Could it be the same with the HHR? Or should I be looking for something else? Just windering before I have to crawl under the dash.

The AC is running fine, so I don't think anything is freezing up and then melting.

Yeah, just to be safe, check the color of the "water" with a wet tissue and make sure the cooling system hasn't lost anything, but I'm with Oldblue, prolly condensate.

You can still clear out the drain line. It’s under the hood. On the firewall. Not sure what the mention of raining implies.

Probably implies no shelter to work under.

Yeah, I don't have a garage or carport and didn't feel like crawling under the car on the wet driveway.
Anyway, it was dry this morning. I ran some weedeater line up the evap drain hose. No big gush came out, but it felt like some stuff moved around. Thirty minutes of drive time with the AC blasting and no water in the floorboard.

Go to the AC repair kiosk in your local auto parts store. They have an aerosol product that yo spray into the center ducts, it foams up and kills all of the mold.

Welp, I thought I had fixed it, but a long drive from the veterinarian, and I heard the sloshing again, splosh in the floorboard.

I crawled under again the next good weather day and did the weed eater line and even tried blowing some compressed air up there. I snapped a pic. Is this the evap drain? Or am I trying to clean the wrong thing?
