Rear brake, reverse, hazard lights don’t work. Tail lights and 3rd brake light works. Replaced bulbs and multifunction switch on steering column, which the reset has already quit working after blinker actuation now( another ordered) and replaced blown fuse under the hood. Now lights and gauges on the dash are losing power and resetting repeatedly but doesn’t affect drivability any. Wondering if it’s the BCM. Please help
Be afraid! Skynet is coming. Computers will kill all of the meat bags.
More likely a short somewhere, that is the cause of blown fuses. Was there any work done just before this started? Any after market equipment?
Trailer adapter ever installed or removed? (Most likely culprit.)
Any LEDs involved?
Brake pedal position sensors?
What fuse was blown?
What about the license plate light? What about the side marker lights?
There is a splice where all of the rear lights, except the CHMSL go through. I think it is under the right rear lights

The CMHSL is on a different circuit from the brake lights. My bet is you will find a place where a trailer adapter was ripped out, look in both rear cavities at the tail lights.
Fuse #69 and relay #68 control all of the lamps, except the head lights and the CHMSL. Find which one blows the fuse.

Replaced the fuse, reverse lights work now but still no brake lights, but it hasn’t blown a fuse that’s been replaced. Looked in the taillight wells and the space around the battery, no connector or splice point in the wiring anywhere. All looks good. I’ll throw in the new multifunction switch tomorr after I figure out why it’s breaking the end tab that resets the blinker arm, an move to the brake light switch if that doesn’t work
