9/2024 transmission solenoid codes 2010 HHR HELP

I have a 2010 HHR. Never never had any major issues with it 223000 miles which I know is a lot but I need it to last a little bit longer. It started jerking every now and then on shift. No engine light or codes.
since I can't check the transmission levels I thought it just was due for a change. I do it every 2 years. I think they overfilled it because it went absolutely crazy 5 miles down the road and the code like came on and shifting was very hard and erratic. It started jerking like crazy all the time instead of just occasionally and even on the highway it would shift between overdrive going at speed. I took it back they drained it completely and refilled it and it seems to be working fine except I still have all these codes and now it can't seem to find overdrive so I'm running at 3500 rpms on the highway. All the other gears or now shifting smoothly except no overdrive.
Codes: P0974, P0700

would resetting TCM help or hurt?

I've called around and I have not found any mechanic that is willing to tackle getting to this thing replaced the solenoid.. Evidently it's really hard to reach.

The shift solenoids are accessible, just more work to get to. The P0974 indicates shift solenoid #1 is burnt out
the P0700 indicates a generic transmission issue

an idea if changing the solenoid

Not a diy for me unfortunately. Cant find any but dealer willing

Thank you. I did find that thread and had a lot of good info for a diy, but Im not at all able to do something like this.
is there such a thing as a forum to find a good chevy mechanic?
the dealer wants 1500 and the car is only wirth 1000 !!
better the devil you know... is what I figure than buying an old used car with a new set of issues... but need a better deal than the dealer price.

I can’t tell you from here, but I do know, to find a good shop, look for one with no brand name on the sign. No dealership has mechanics that remember the HHR. I have known my shops for over 35 years, some guys are retiring or passing away. Good thing I can still turn wrecks, just slower then back in the day.
