AC not that cold

MY AC in my 08 LS doesnt get that cold..the air is "cool" but not cold! Temperature was 30 celsius here in Toronto Canada and it took awhile for it to cool the inside. had it on full blast the whole time I was commuting to Toronto which takes about 30-40mins. My mileage suffers greatly with the AC on too. Considering I bought this used with 50,000 km on it you would think the AC would be good still. 4yr old car needs an AC fill up maybe? what is it
R34?

First, are you sure you had the AC on. Was the light illuminated in the round temperature control? Was the Temperature Control turned all the way to cold? Do you know how to achieve MAXIMUM AC?

NO not R34. It is R134!!

Top and bottom fans?

Are you sure you have the vent selector in the right position? The little icons show the fan blowing air at different positions.

Also there is a button on either side of the fan knob, on my '06 I have to poke the 'circulate' button for full coolness. This has to be done every time I turn on the air, otherwise its trying to cool down outside air. If its a warm day that can be more than the system can handle very well.

i have the button on with the air coming from outside..so thats the issue? Ive always used the on my other cars to get air from outside instead of using the air inside the cabin (fresh is better? lol i duno..) but like i said its never been a problem of being cold until this car. But yes the air is MUCH colder if its using the cabin air

Mold. Check your cabin filter. How many miles on the car? The cabin air filter only takes a minute to check.

58,000km on the car and the cabin filter has already been changed
