Ac only on passenger side

07 hhr - it only blows cold on the far right vent.

the far left vent blows hot and each vent blows a little cooler until you get to the far right vent which blows cold.

I wanted to see if anyone has dealt with this before i start pulling the dash apart.

Blower works fine and there in no trash in the filter area.

thanks,
tony

Haven't heard of this ever on an HHR. Seen it a lot on systems that have dual zones for driver and passenger.

Not too strange. Freon enters the evaporator from one side and expands(evaporates). If the system isn't full, the expanding freon doesn't fill the evaporator so it only cools part of it. The air that goes through the cold part is the air that comes out the right side.

I traded my 99 Buick in for the HHR after fixing the dual zone AC issues several times.
