Looking for help from all you "tech gurus".
While my HHR was in the body shop, they could not find the battery to disconnect.......where is it?
Not my question, but should have been for the body shop. Since they could not find it, they decided to disconnect the fuse box. Once repairs were completed and fuse box reconnected, they called a week later to say the car was ready but would not start. Tried both keys with no luck. A week later the car was towed to the dealer. Found out from the service manager that many items would not work also (rear hatch, radio, and other items). He says that its going to take two techs to retrace ALL electrical wires looking for a bad harness.
Anyone have any ideas to help narrow down the search?

But, (really big sigh) the damage has already been done.
I know I 'm on Medication but what the Hell are they on! They must of not seen that Commercial Call first. Hell If I don't know anything about what I am doing , I call some body and ask, I have even called the Dealership for an answer. Da!
Sorry to hear what happened Jay. Nothing like adding insult to injury. Hopefully they will have Dory up and running soon. I would venture to guess that the cost to repair the damage will be billed to the body shop. Very sad that they didn't even both to call and ask you if they didn't know. I would think that any good reputable body shop would have the repair manuals that are available too that should show them where the battery is.
The only positive thing about this repair taking so long is that I haven't gotten the doctor's certification to drive, and not expected to for several weeks. But at least I could still be adding all the stuff I got for Xmas and bday.

. Hopefully you and Dory will both be up to speed ASAP.
