Boost Issue - non stage 1

"My ish isn't working" is how my husband is wording it. Having problems. yesterday went to merge no boost at all, stayed at 0 or in Vac. Today even when I did get boost is would flutter around 7-10 and then go, or not go at all and the guage would drop go back into vac.

We didn't heard the turbo at all when it was dropping into Vac.

Help? Anyone else have this happen. I plan to call the dealership tuesday but any ideas might help. I just can't win, had a car a week hail on friday and now this.

Check the air intake pipes for a loose clamp. Not uncommon. Before I had the upgrade installed I tightened all of mine and the one on the PS at the intercooler wasn't all that tight. It's a place to start.

okay after more driving it's only when floored (sucks to merge) but at 1/4-1/2 throttle turbo works great boosts up to 17 then settles down.

Yup, definitely check to make sure the clamps are all tight. It's the easiest way to get an easy fix. Tighten all the clamps, and if you're still having the same issue, get it to the dealer since it's warrantied.

what code?? I recently had a P0101 and P0106 and earlier a P0299 come up with similar conditions. turned out I had a cracked nipple on the Wastegate Actuator Solenoid.

after 2 weeks my dealer finally got the OK to replace the whole Turbo, because the Solenoid apparently can not be had.

Okay here comes my stupid ? how do I know what code? I didn't get a chance to have it checked out and unless I am missing the how to check the code thread somewhere I do not know.

I am dropping it off at 7:30 tomorrow morning and picking up a rental. Oh fun.

haha cracked nipple. :) And oh my 2 weeks? I thought my GTO was bad with taking a long time to get a part, guess no fun for a while then.

I had Autozone check mine... I believe most, if not all of them will check codes for free...

yeah I drove a 4 door Slo-balt for the two weeks, it sucked... Got worse mpg then my SS, to boot

picked my car up this past Friday and it is running great, no hesitation or dropped power

yup autozone does it I just can't leave work to go check right now.

I'm just hoping the guy at the dealership actually heard me. I told him today my cars my work vehicle I need an suv or very large car I have 3 car seats I must fit into it. If I'm late to work tomorrow because he didn't listen we will see.

hopefully they will have a loaner that fits your needs, and your problem is just a loose fitting somewhere or some other simple fix...
