Broken Antenna Cable
Well, I removed my stock radio antenna yesterday to vinyl wrap my roof and while attempting to unplug the antenna coax I twisted it too much and the wire broke off.
I pulled the front of the headliner down to access the area and that is exactly where it broke. Not exactly an easy spot to get to or I'd just solder it back on no problems. And I'd rather not take down the whole headliner if I can avoid it. So, 2 questions....the antenna is suppose to disconnect right there correct? If so, how the hell does it come off? I tried everything then figured maybe it was screwed on. question 2: where can I buy a stock antenna with the cables. I'm sure I maybe able to go to the junk yard and find one, but rather just order a new one. Thanks as always! |
GM dealer parts departments can get almost any part of the car.:duh:
Ebay, RockAuto, gmpartsoutlet.net, gmpartsdirect etc. lots of gm online dealers sell for much less than your brick & mortar dealer. If you fear the internet, I can't help that. |
Thanks!

To me it looks like the connection to the base is a few inches from the base. Here is a diagram I found.
