Angry Can anyone help me? Front driver side blinker problem

So...Inside my car the blinker signal blinks fast.
I thought the light was blown so I changed it.
It was not blown.
It will turn on when the turn signal switch lever is spun all the way upward so I know it is getting power and the bulb is good.
When I push it down to make a left turn it will not blink.
What is going on? How do I fix this? It is driving me nuts.
My horn also stopped working. Can this be related or no way.
I checked the fuses for the horn and they are good. I want to switch the horn out with a new one but I am afraid to buy a new one and put it in if it will not work. I do not have money to blow like that. I know it is cheap but I just lost my job.
If anyone can help it would mean so much,
I WILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU IF YOU CAN HELP ME.
Nah....just kidding...lmao

Welcome to the site, the light bulb issue could be that the turn signal, multi switch is damaged.
As for the horn also not working, it could be the ground wire under the left front fender shield!

Hello and aboard!

Hmm...an interesting set of symptoms to say the least.

Lets start at the first symptom, an "over eager" turn signal blinker, now you changed a bulb, but which one? Fast blinking can be an indicator of a blown front turn signal bulb, or a blown turn signal filament in the taillight bulb out back.

If the light illuminates when you turn the headlights on manually, that's only indicating thst the low wattage filament is not blown, but the second high voltage filament in the bulb might be blown out. Dual filament bulbs like to do that trick where one filament blows out, and the other one is fine.

It happens with the headlights too, you can blow out the low beam and still have the high beam working or vice versa.

Usually a horn failure can be one of two things, the horn just failed due to age, corrosion, or a bad connection. Or in rarer cases the "Clock Spring" behind the steering wheel at the top of the steering column has broken or worn out.

The first thing to check when your horn stops honking is the fuse at Position #60 in the underhood fuse box, then check the horn relay in position #55, sounds like you've done that already.

Now it's time to pull back the front of the left front fender liner to make sure something simple like the connection to the horn hasn't come undone. If the "Clock Spring" behind the steering wheel has failed, that's a dealer only job because of the airbag.

And I'm sure some other folks will chime in here shortly with their ideas, as I'm all out of them right now.

Putting up the Christmas tree today kind of used up my brain, as it always does with four cats, and a three year old Son helping.

Thank You

Thanks for the help..I am trying everything here...Have a good holiday
I am hoping it is not this clock spring...
I am pretty sure I got the right bulb because after trial and I error I found out that the old one had power too just wouldn't blink
I will double check the parts I bought tomorrow
I was working on it all day and it is dark out now
I am doing the work outside
I got a new horn and the connection is different...They told me horns were universal...apparently not
I don't know if I should splice the wires...Once I do there is no going back
I will update on my progress tomorrow
Hopefully I figure this out because I don't have the money to fix these things

You could try the hazard flashers, if they all work it could be the clock spring or switch.

Did you test the original horn before getting a new one?

Before cutting the connector on the new horn or the car's wiring harness, just rig up a couple wires to jumper to the new horn to test the wiring. Having a volt/ohm meter handy makes checking that kind of stuff a whole lot easier, and cheap ones can be had for $8-$15.
