Hhr won’t turn on now after lots of changes

I found oil in my spark plug well so I decided to do a valve cover gasket and spark plug gasket change. I also did spark plug change and the coil boot change well after doing all that the car was running fine. I heard a clicking noise and I thought it might be the VVT solenoids. I checked the oil. It looked a little low. I decided to drive to AutoZone. It was running fine. RPMs was good. The power when I pressed the gas felt amazing like brand new I went to AutoZone. I got 2 quarts of oil. I added it to the engine. I drive less than one minute to go grab pizza. The car stalls I keep cranking it. It won’t turn over and turn on the engine. I think I might’ve put too much oil. I checked the oil dipstick too much oil so then I removed some oil still won’t crank. I read there could be foam that could be making and I’ll turn on so I do an oil change car still won’t turn on. What do I do now please help.

Check your work, loose ground wire or fuse box? Try tightening the four, 7 mm bolts in the under hood fuse box, check the fuses and relays ensuring they are all pushed firmly into place.

Take the valve cover off and look at the timing chain; there should be no slack between the sprockets.

Car is till no ready after so many repairs

Probelms
  • steering isn’t just hold and go forwards it’s left and right a bit to stay in lane
  • suspension doesn’t feel good
  • feels like the tires are ovals and not circles (clunkyness)
  • esc keeps activating when fast and dips on freeway making me counter steer to no get jerked into another lane. It’s like one of the tires looses power and then the rest of the system has to recalibrate
  • car is stalling now, I drive and will randomly stall, lights stay on dash, radio sound goes on mute momentarily
repairs thus far:
  1. lower control arms both sides in front
  2. Rebuilt front struts only reused oem springs everything else kyb parts
  3. outer tie rod change on front left
  4. alignment
  5. changed bent rims in front
  6. changed tires
  7. got front wheel balanced

more repairs:
  1. 4 new pioneer speakers
  2. radio
  3. Sun visors both replaced
  4. valve cover and spark plug gasket
  5. ignition coil boots
  6. spark plugs
  7. air intake hose
  8. thermostat
  9. serpentine belt

I fix one thing find 2 more endless problems I put so much money already some would say to sell but it was my mothers car, she passed away in September and my goal is to get this car back to its former glory since the engine is 145k and been reading if taken care they could go up to 300k before major rebuild. However this car is just endless problems I just want a smooth ride.

I installed struts backwards in a Saturn once and the car handled like a rhino on a wet clay bank. An alignment shop took care of it and probably got a good laugh out of the deal. I won't make that mistake again.

Not endless problems, just a few things need attention, test things, like the front wheel hubs, check and clean brake pad contact points , lube the slide pins in front brake calipers. When you had the valve cover off how did the timing chain look? Nice and tight? What brand spark plugs and part number? Have you cleaned the MAF sensor? Cleaned the throttle body ? You mentioned bent rims, how did they get bent?

No mention of a CheckEngineLight? Unless "lights stay on dash" means it is on. If it is on go to your local auto parts store and ask them to read the codes, then come back here with the numbers, we don't care about the words.

Are they quality tires? Are both tires on each axle identical? What is the air pressure in each tire?

When I first got my 2006 HHR LT, I looked it over and it started right up, ran good, etc. I shut it off and did the paperwork, paid for it and when I went to drive home, it wouldn't start (battery) I then spent a bunch of time and money going thru everything to make it reliable. It only had 95,000 miles on it but had been parked for quite a while. Now with 175,000 miles and 4 years later, it works great for the last 3 1/2 years. It is worth the time and money as they are great lil cars!!
