Car won't start, no lights

My car battery died from leaving it for 3 weeks without starting it with something plugged into the cigarette lighter. I caught it before the battery was completely dead, so the lights would come on and the starter would try to start it, but not enough power. So, I tried to jump it and then it stopped working entirely. No lights coming on at all when I put the key in and the key locked up, so I pressed the manual key release and checked the fuses. The 60 amp fuse was popped, so I replaced it and it hasn't made any difference. There is now a light clicking sound coming from the fuse box by the passenger seat inside the car.

Maybe I missed a popped fuse? Then where is the clicking coming from? The battery just bad now? Is my car haunted?

Agh. I didn't sleep and now it's after 11am, so my story telling skills are crumbling. I'll probably take the battery to get tested on sunday. Beyond that and pulling and checking all the fuses, I don't know what to do.

try jumping from the batt..many have had problems up front..gotta be careful up front as neg lead does not go to the box..it goes to the strut tower..probably popped the steering fuse also...theres a fuse on the batt cable in the back, check that also..

And being that you have a 2006, the battery may be at the end of its service life. Charge it out of the vehicle, then have it load tested, worst case scenario...you'll be replacing it. If you do replace it, spend a few extra dollars and get a new vent tube, they get brittle and crack over time.

P.S. to the forum!

The huge question here is: Did you jump start correctly? Like the way it says in the Owner Manual, or did you think that box under the hood is a battery (like thousands of people do).

I think that the 60amp fuse you're talking about is the power steering fuse, which means you hooked the jumper cables up to the "black thingy on the under hood battery". That ain't the battery, and the black post is the positive side of the power steering.
