Sway bar links possibly. First off what year and how many miles on the HHR? Could very well be your struts as well.

hi there,its a 2007 with 86,000 kms

If it's when you turn or hit a bump, I bet you anything it's one of the front strut tower bearings.

So about 53, 000 miles for us non metric folk.

Little early for struts but not unheard of to have to do at that mileage. My guesses are the sway bar links of the struts.

thanks for the replies ,and sorry about the kms lol,it is a pain i wish we would go back to the old system.I was also thinking maybe the links or strut bearings too ,i'll get the links checked first ,thanks again

It could be the sway bar links too. drive down the road at 60 mph and jerk the steering wheel hard left and right safely and see if the noise becomes dominant.

Front end noise.

My front end makes the same sounds.GM has replaced the swaybar bushings, new struts at 70k new wheel bearing left front.I still have the worn out front end sound. I now have 83k.I'm stumped.Thanks.
