Read recently three ways to reset computer. Have used the search but can not find.
1) is to disconnect batt and tap 3 times.
2) disconnect neg. etc.

That would be flooring the accelerator 3 times (key to on, but not running) to reset the oil life monitor.............unless you are wearing ruby slippers and want to get home.

you can reset the ECM by pulling the 50 amp fuse near the battery for about 10 minutes. easier than pulling the battery terminal.

when you do this does yours take a long time to start up too, but pulling the fuse is the easiest

Is that the large ECM fuse under the hood? If the fuse is by the battery, you'd still need to get back there and gain access to the battery regardless, no? I was looking at this last night while working on the SS and it didn't give the amperage for that ECM fuse, again under the hood.

Later

Hopefully he was trying to clear a code. If not it, what ever he was after probably didn't get fixed by this.
