Coolant leak @ rear of engine, new HHR

Two weeks and 528 miles on the clock and looks like a 2nd visit to dealer service dept is req'd. Noticed a puddle of dex-cool under the HHR this morning. Coolant reservoir is empty, and from where the initial drip spot on the garage floor is, it looks to be coming from the backside of engine (between engine and trans) towards driver side. Wonderful... it is a pretty good sized puddle. They may want it towed instead of driven.

 Definately have it towed. Even if it's just for the sake of not having to let the engine cool down to be able to get it looked at ASAP!

There is a coolant line that runs behind the block, it cannects on the drivers side, could just be a O-ring.

Could be as applenut said or perhaps simply a loose hose connector.

I'd like to replace all of the crimped hose clamps with worm gear hose clamps.

Smart advise there.

You know, I seldom have the car out of the garage so I can look at the floor. I drive out, close the door, then do the opposite when I get home. I better start real soon! But I guess I've been spoiled. My minivan has no leaks after 105K miles. One day that whole car's gonna fall apart right in the middle of my driveway!

Dealership said as long as no warning lamps are on (they're not), then go ahead and drive it in. I truly hope its just a mangled o-ring or something minor.

They gave me a base model Cobalt for a loaner :thumbsdow I specifically requested an HHR loaner
