crank no start
I have a 2007 hhr 2.4 ecotec engine. It stall at a light and will not start back up. Check for spark 2 plugs where bad replaced all of them and now have spark. I can hear fuel pump kick on, gas in shader valve. sprayed starter fluid into intake still no start. Relaced the exhaust cam slonoid that tested bad. the only code is p0449 so I replaced the canister solonoid code is still there. Try starting it yesterday and the oil filler tube and stick blew out. Thinking timing chain. Any thoughts.

:welcomewagon: to the forums!!
How many miles? Blowing the dipstick out sounds like you broke a piston or have excessively worn rings. You should perform a cylinder leak down test. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...-engine-56053/ |
120,000 miles. doing a compression test tomorrow

OK, another thought, your crankcase ventilation tube may be clogged. This is the tube or hose going between your valve cover and the inlet hose, near the throttle body. Something is causing excess pressure in the crankcase, just have to figure out what.

There's no fee for viewing Oldblue's 2.2!
Sounds like rings or hole in a piston or two! |
Oldblue likes to strut his stuff! I figured you wouldn't mind sharing your pic.
That was my thought too. Even if the tube is clogged, I think it should start. |
