It won’t resume whether using the brake or the cancel button

Do you even know how it works. Cancel and brake DO NOT resume. They both turn it OFF.

Wrong. Please read a HHR Owner Manual.

What jeetmo is saying is when he presses the resume button it won’t resume to the set speed, after the brake is used .The button to increase speed while cruise is engaged is not working.

Here’s the directions from the 2007 owners manual, pages 160, 161 and 162.

I suppose hitting the brake will cause it to accelerate
Are you awake?

No, the brake suspends and retains the set speed in memory. There is no "cancel" button.
The information is in the Owner Manual, read it.

Canceling the cruise is turning off the cruise with the button on the left.

According to @donbrew there is no cancel button. How can this be?

Oldblue Feb 18, 2023 07:14 AM

It’s the cruise control button, press to activate, light comes on, press again to cancel, light goes off.

Do you even own a HHR , much less have the owners manual for one of these ?

Here’s a picture of the cruise control buttons on my HHR.
Don’t see anything that says CANCEL.
