went to the dealer today 9100495-n140113 replace ignition lock cylinder and the 9100400-n140063 replace ignition and start switch are the recalls that have been done .Are all of the door switches working? Door switches all seem to be working . Are the headlights set to "auto"? Headlights on auto Is the CheckEngineLight on? the check engine light just came on for "power steering". Is the hood securely latched? yes Is remote start turned on? not sure how do you check it Have you read the Owner Manual? some of it

If the speed had increased, I would have suspected the headlight switch. Since it did not increase, I suspect the ignition switch. The switch was replaced under recall, so I would hope that the dealer would fix this issue at no charge to you.

About the only thing the dinging can be is a fault in the "key in" sensor. Which, I am fairly sure was part of the recalls.
You will need to go to a dealership for the power steering warranty. You have a lifetime warranty on PS motor replacement, they may claim that they are unaware of it; direct them to Chevrolet.
