Dic and door locks

HELLO ALL. JUST A SMALL PROBLEM I CANT FIGURE OUT. I HAVE A 2008 HHR LT 2.4 AND WAS TRYING TO GET THE DOOR LOCKS TO STAY LOCKED WHEN I PUT IT IN PARK. THEY AUTOMATICALY UNLOCK WHEN PUT INTO PARK NOW. I READ THE MANUAL AND WHEN I HOLD THE RESET BUTTON AND INFO DOWN AT THE SAME TIME, I GET NO PERSONALIZATION MENU. I TRIED IT WITH MOTOR RUNNING, MOTOR OFF, IN PARK, IN NEUTRAL. ALL I GET IS THE STANDARD MENU, TIRE ,TRIP, MPG, AVG SPEED, ETC. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

You did not mention "ignition on, engine not running".

I have no idea on getting into the personalisation menu, it sounds like there is a problem that needs fixing. But in my vehicle there is nothing you can do to keep doors locked when the vehicle is put in Park. It even says so in the Owners Manual. The only thing that can be selected is unlocking the driver door or all doors. Good Luck with whatever happens.

Mine too..
If I an sitting somewhere & want the doors to remain locked with motor running, I just bump it into neutral & apply the park brake..

Why not just put it in park and hit the door lock button? SOP for hitting drive up ATMs.

Try Ignition off, Press and hold info & reset buttons at the same time, turn ignition only on (do not start the engine) then release. then press the info. button to scroll through the settings.
