The manual says you can select to unlock when the key is turned off, or you can turn the feature off completely.

page 3-57

AUTOUNLK(Unlock)
This feature, which allows the vehicle to automatically unlock certain doors, can be enabled or disabled. When UTOUNLK appears on the display, press and hold the reset button for at least one second to scroll through the available settings:

ALL (default): All of the doors will automatically unlock.
DRIVER: The driver’s door will automatically unlock.
NONE: None of the doors will automatically unlock. You will need to manually unlock the doors.
If you have a manual transmission vehicle, the door(s) will automatically unlock when the key is turned off.

If you have an automatic transmission vehicle, you can select when the automatic unlocking will occur. See “UNLK (Unlock) (AutomaticTransmissionOnly)” following.

See Programmable Automatic Door Unlock on page 2-10 for more information.
To select a setting and move on to the next feature, press the information button while the desired setting is displayed on the DIC.

UNLK (Unlock) (Automatic Transmission Only)

This screen displays only if your vehicle has an automatic transmission and DRIVER or ALL is selected for the AUTOUNLK feature. This feature determines when the automatic door unlocking will occur. When UNLK appears on the display, press and hold the reset button for at least one second to scroll through the available settings:

KEYOFF: The door(s) will unlock when the key is turned off.
SHIFTTOP(Park) (default): The door(s) will unlock when the vehicle is shifted into PARK(P).

See Programmable Automatic Door Unlock on page 2-10 for more information.
To select a setting and move on to the next feature, press the information button while the desired setting is displayed on the DIC.

I'm going to guess yours is a five speed. My five speed does the same, unlocks when I turn the ignition off!

Thumbs up

Now mine unlocks only when I shut off the ignition..Just as I wanted it to.

I just followed oneton, TomsHHR & wxmans' advice, read my Owners Manual & simply changed the setting in the DIC.

Even personalized a few other settings while in there... 2 minute deal.

It's all good..

And don't get me wrong, I have been studying the manual for a while, But it's a lot of stuff in there to digest at once. Especially coming from a 1998 Chevy S-10.. Lot of changes for the better IMO... I'm gaining on it, especially with help from members here as well..

Thanks Guys
