Drivers door window switch problems

I have been having a problem with the window switches on the drivers side door not wanting to work the windows. The drivers door window seems to work ok with the switch and I can use the switches on the other doors and they work fine but not with the switch panel on the drivers door.
Any idea what is wrong and how to fix it?

Most likely water has gotten into the switch. Replacement probably.

Does the door speaker still work?
Does the mirror switch still work?

A specific reason for them not working - nope. But you can start troubleshooting to eliminate possible causes: The switches themselves, the connection to the switch panel, the wiring to the switches, etc.. and look for water damage at the same time on the switch panel.

You will need a Volt/Ohm meter to do the tests to verify if the switches are working, as well as the wiring harness itself.

I am not one to take buy a new one as fix so I took the switch out and took it apart. I cleaned the contacts inside with a red rubber eraser and that seems to have fixed it. There some black goo on the contacts. I guess age or moisture may have caused it to not make good contact. Either way, it seems to be working now. Thanks for the advice.
