Driver's side speakers stopped working

Driver's side speakers stopped working
2008 HHR LS
My speakers on the driver's side stopped working today. I have all factory stuff and have never messed with anything. When I turn the balance dials I can hear sound coming from the tiny speaker in the molding by the windshield on the driver's side but nothing comes from the front or back door panel speakers. I'm confused by why this would happen out of the blue.
Has anyone else had this problem? What do you think it is?

There are several threads on this issue. Do a search on "radio" and you will probably fine a lot of useful information. I, unfortunately, have had an issue with the radio, door chime, and speakers off and on since about three months after I bought mine. Thus far, the dealership has installed three new radio modules, a body control module, and both front speakers. Thank goodness it was all under warranty. I would also contact GM Customer Assistance and notify them of what is going on.
