Sounds like you have a stuck high beam relay. But, if you checked it, I am not sure?

So it is always on while driving or is it on right now in the parking lot?

Is this new? What happened just before it started?

If nobody messed with wiring the only place to look is the relay.

The switch sends a signal to the BCM, the BCM sends a signal to the relay.

Thanks for your reply. yes the hi beams are on all the time, to shut them off I pull the relay but the hi beam indicator on the dash remains on I have tried changing the relay to no avail.

Then the wires between the switch and the BCM have been messed with because the indicator light is on a serial data line.

Something is telling the BCM to turn the high beams on.

Have you tried using your Auto lite switch to turn head lights off as a temporary measure until you get it figured out ??
It will work with or without the motor running.
To turn off you use the turn signal arm and twist the switch on the end to the right all the way.

Just a thought ....

The multiswitch could have failed, mine was the culprit a few years ago.
