Electrical problem

The lights on the temp controls starting blinking as I'm driving. No other lights on the dash blink just the 3 temp knobs. Any ideas?

blinking.. or flickering?

Blinking to me would appear like a controlled blink... think turn signal.

Flickering would appear more like a lose connection.

Flickering when you hit a bump. Where is the connection? What I don't understand is that it's only the 3 temp knob lights and all the rest are fine.

You can remove the faceplate, pull the control head and look at the pin connectors on the plug. From your description it would seem one of the pins is backed out of the connnector.

Thanks for the help I'll try that.

Go into both fuse boxes (under hood and to the right on console) and re seat ALL your fuses. I haven't a clue why, but this loosening of fuses is an ongoing problem on the HHR. I had EXACTLY the symptoms you describe. Re-seating the fuses cured the issue. If one is loose several may be therefore press down and make sure they are all seated. I believe this will help you.

For the gentleman below with the "urban legend" comment, I had exactly the same issue with my car and re-seating the fuses solved the issue.

I have the same problem...they blink from time to time! Let me know what you try and what works..thanks!

Well all I did was push all the fuses in to make sure they were tight and the lights don't flicker. At least they haven't in the last two days.
