Fan ticking sound

When I turn on my heater fan it now has a "ticking sound" at low speed. Any suggestions?

Bug your dealer for a new blower motor. Also have them make sure that it doesn't have a leak in the butyl patch area. I have had two replaced and they supposedly fixed the leak the last time.

I found a leaf in one car that did that.

Could be that, but the dealer found the blower motor to be bad on mine twice with a noise like that.

Mine has that

Mine has that and it drove me crazy! It sounded like it was coming from the rear passenger side headliner. I took it in to the Chevy house and they determined it was just a leaf or something in the fan. It only does it when the fan is on and stops when I turn it off. I did not have time to leave it to be fixed but feel better knowing it is nothing major. I was worried if it was something in the headliner or window seal they would ust make it worse trying to fix it.

I had a dead mouse in my old Toy PU that went thump, thump, thump until I pulled the blower motor, problem solved.

Had that on my other vehicle - caused by pine needle hitting the fan. However, HHR has a filter - on which side of the fan I don't know. Also 2008 HHR has a fine mesh over the air intake which should block leaves.

Changed cabin air filter this evening. There was a leaf there. I think it fixed it as I don't hear it anymore. Changing the cabin air filter was easy and it was sure dirty. NAPA GOLD Air Filter #4882.

Mine has started doing this. Drives me nuts. Will be taking mine in to have it taken care of while I'm off work over the holidays.
