FM Reception problem - did the TSB fix the problem?

I see in the Recall and TSB number thread, that there is a TSB for an FM reception problem.

Audio Quality Poor Reception
http://www.alldata.com/tsb/General-M...6B/440161.html

My HHR seems to have this issue (the high end of the music fades in and out as you drive around).

Has anyone had GM apply the fix, and did it work?

EDIT: I see that trey1966 had it done. Anyone else?

Take your ride to the dealer. There is a new TSB out that I was unaware of and they fixed it today. Works great now.

I just had this done today and brought in the TSB. Can't say yet if there is any improvement but will report back in a few days.

Been a couple of days and I can honestly say I see no difference.

I had mine done a week or so ago and I don't see any difference at all, BUT the service manager told me when I picked it up that there was another coming out in a week or two and to bring it back.

Had mine done yesterday.

Seems to have fixed the problem as long as I am getting strong signal.

Of course after they updated the radio software, it messed up the pass-key security system. That wasn't discovered until we got the car back and were ready to leave the dealership. Took another hour to get that taken care of. Had to have the key fobs reprogrammed.

Just took my 06 in for this problem and there has been no difference since the reprogramming. Is there a way to check and see if they did it right.....like a version number of the software or something????

I just figured the reception sucks with the HHR..I have an 07 and am amazed at how bad the reception is...not horrible to not being able to listen but nowhere near the Matrix's reception...AM is especially bad...when did the TSB come out...mine was built in 9/06 so maybe it will apply

Mine was built 03/2006 and having it applied helped compared to how it was originally, but it's still not perfect. They told me that if it didn't work they would replace the radio.

I don't understand that, as it's a software issue not a hardware issue.

I listen to XM 99% of the time anyway, so I don't worry about it too much.
