OldBlue, I see in your links something like fittings for supplying lubricant to the balls (or are it tightening bolts?). This is the only place in my opinion where you can apply grease.

I use links from the CTR manufacturer. Korean, quite strong. I know you don't like the Korean parts, but that's because you associate it with the Chinese parts.
Here is a picture. Don't be bothered that this is for the Camry. 99% identical to GM, only stronger.

Weight [g] 406 g
Length [mm] 261 mm
Thread size 1 M12xP1.25
Thread size 2 M12xP1.25

Price in Ekaterinburg: 8.5 - 11 USD for 1 piece.
There is no place to lubricate on the stock suspension that I can find. The Moogs have often been recommended on the theory that the added grease fittings will add life. That does not seem to be proving true.

The Camry link looks like a cool option I had never seen before. Thank you! Maybe the 261mm (10.28”) length is a good compromise between the 300mm (FE1/3?) and the 250mm (FE5?)

Makes me think of the fan control module that’s available cheaper as a Ford part.

I still suspect the elusive FE5 ball joints are common and available for some other American or Japanese or Korean car and we just haven’t figured it out yet.

Well, yes ... Our whole life is so arranged.
In my Hippo there are parts from Toyota, Opel, Mitsubishi, VAZ. Of course, this is a necessary measure. There are not many original parts in Russia.
But here's an example:
The original front wheel hub Ford Focus (Europe) costs an average of 4500 rubles. The original front wheel hub Volvo S40 (Europe) costs an average of 10,000 rubles. It seems nothing surprising, but this is the same part, interchangeable for both cars. And also for Mazda 3 (Europe). Of course, the owner of a not new Volvo (if not a fool) prefers a Ford part - the quality is the same, but the price is 2 times less.
