Front end noise update......
 

Like alot of members here, I have also had the noises associated with the front end....I ended up replacing my sway bar lings with the Moog units, and that seemed to do the trick. But the last two weeks I started to develop more noise that what I had from before. Checked the links with the tires attached, just making sure that they were still attached....:lol:
I had noticed that the noise, which was really getting bad (on my right side) would happen over any imperfection on the road: dips, manhole covers, etc.
Upon further investigation with the wheels pulled, it felt like the right side sway bar link was binding when moving by hand from side-to-side. Where the left side link moved more freely, no bind. So I'm thinking I have a defective part, pulled it off and its moving ok, had plently of grease in there, but just didn't feel right. Went back to Advance auto and got a replacement, and what a difference, big time. Besides changing the oil, since it was due anyway, I got a can of WD40 and also sprayed my sway bar bushings quite a bit, about 3 to 4 good soakings. I have to tell you, and this is in some very cold temps, where noises are more prevalent, my front end makes no more noise, it is very, very quiet. And checking my struts, no leaks, and the SS still handles very well, so I know the noises were not coming from them.
So the new replacement Moog link, along with the WD40 lube has cured my noises. Hope this helps in correcting any noises you may encounter.....Tom

I think if/when mine ever gets ta making noise, I'll use some silicone spray, instead of the WD-40..It lasts a lot longer on other things I've used it for..

I think the WD-40 is only a temporary fix, it will accelerate deterioration of the rubber bushings. I plan a switch to urethane bushings in the spring.

I had the Moog links installed a couple weeks ago, today I had the Poly Bushings installed, drove around town then got on the Fwry. doing 80 MPH and then back around town, BIG diffrence as the stock bushings didnt look too bad, the rubber inside was like polishied but what a diffrence so do both. glad I did the black bushing with grease fittings and the Poly has grafite in it. do it you wont be sorry.:twothumbs:
