Exclamation Fuel Pressure

I have a 2007 HHR 2.2 One time it cranked and cranked but wouldn't start. I had drove 50 miles and the vehicle had set for 8 hours. Two days later it started right up. Every thing was fine for two days.

I drove 50 miles to work. The vehicle set 8 hours. It took 25 minutes to get it started. I would let it crank about 3-4 seconds each time. It has now set in the drive way for two weeks. I start it two or three times a week. Every thing seams normal.

Does the 50 mile trip and 8 hours of set time tell anyone what my problem may be?

What is normal fuel pressure on a HHR? How fast should the pressure bleed off?

I have a fuel pressure reading of 55 lbs. Is that High? I am using a cheap gauge from Harbor Freight.

55 is okay, but you need to check the fuel pressure when it cranks but doesn't start. I think you may have a fuel pump issue.
