Question Camshaft pos actuator
code reader says intake cam position actuator soleniod default. anybody know about this? can i fix it myself? appreciate any input.

yes you can repair yourself.. Be careful, there are sensors & solenoids for IN & EX.

Intake CMP solenoid is the front one.. on pass side. Gotta remove air filter housing for easy access..

Just did both mine on Friday. I am very much a beginner, it was easy, solenoids cost $104 at the dealer total.

....and the plugs are slightly different, so there is no way to mix them up when re-attaching.
Got mine on e-bay from a Chevy dealer in Florida. e-bay name is number1gmparts
$39.99 each for the actuators. And yes, the parts are factory GM in original boxes.

By the way the new part numbers are 12655420 and 12655421. I bought mine at the dealer for $52 each, could have gotten them for $39 each online but choose not to wait for the $20 diff and just ran to the dealer.
