On start up from sitting all night I get noise like if you hit a alumina can like a ticking noise ... After awhile of running it qiuts down ... Car is pushing 216000 the timing chain and water pump done at 170000 everything new .. May be the cam followers or injector noise? They are the original stuff .. Any inputs thanks

Check you timing chain tensioner if it doesn't have the bump it's the old style and can give you the start up chatter!

I found this how to for you

Most tensioners for the accessory drive belt are used for $20. To $30.00.
Did not find a new one online but I'm sure somebody will

Ummm.. you do realize that engine in the video is a 3800 V-6 longitudinally mounted engine vs. our shoe-horned with grease 2.0-2.4 I-4 transverse mounting? First clue was the extension on the rachet for the pulley .... for a HHR ???

p.s I'm sorry, couldn't resist the temptation...
