how do you get to the temp sensor..??

i know that the sensor(for the DIC outside air temp) is located behind the right side front facia near the fig light(which i dont have). but....how do you get to it..????

if its up in the air then underneath is easier....if you dont have that option then you have to remove the plastic in the RF wheel well(turn wheel left) and access it throught there. kinda the same PITA as the replacing the headlight. If I remember correctly its a 10mm socket

thanks.....morning project...

So Alex. Why are you replacing it?
There have been numerous folks on this forum that thought their sensor was bad, only to find it wasn't. It's just the weird algorithm that these things operate under that was giving the odd readings.

not really looking to replace it at this point......just check the surface of the sensor for any contamination.....may have gotten some wd40 on it when i've been chasing a body panel squeak(between the front bumper cover and the RIGHT fender (where they meet on the side of the fender)....squeak/creak is gone though.......

OK. I understand.
FWIW. I had some of those body panel creaks/clunks that I was chasing since the car was new. I wound up replacing a bunch of the plastic push-in rivets with real nuts and bolts. This was in the wheelwell area where the inner liner and body bumper panel meet. The plastic rivets just allowed too much movement between the panels.

good idea...may wind up doing much the same.....
