I'm sick of finding bad things about this car...

I bought this car (2006 2LT hhr)originally because i needed something with better mileage... I loved the truck i had, but couldnt afford the gas...

anyways...

Found a few things over the course of the last few years that have turned my stomach...

Found out one of the rear fender is plastic/puddy after it got a deep scratch.
the paint on the rear quarter-panel is cracking and starting to rust.
the floor on the passenger side flooded
the fan motor resister blew
resealed the rubber thing on the passenger side
the fan resister went AGAIN
when replacing the rear turn signals i found the light fixture socket had melted
when trying to replace the headlight, i found the wiring and light connectors had melted together...

PLEASE tell me this isnt normal... the car is about 65,000 miles, and out of warranty, and although i might have been able to handle tone or two of these issues, i really cant handle them all on a car that is not that old... my 87 IROC has never had these kinds of issues...

I realize these problems are small, but in my opinion they should not be an issue on a car like this...

I miss my Blazer...

My 06 HHR has about 63,000 on the clock. I did replace tires on mine at 53,000 with no other issues. I did have the spark plugs replaced at 58,000 just to be ahead of the game. My last car that had 100,000 mile plugs I started having issues around 60,000 mile, plug related. BTW the old plugs still looked good.

I don't think your issues are normal.

I agree with you 100%, "the problems are small and they should not be an issue". So don't make them "an issue". I had an 87 Blazer and it was the biggest POS that I had ever owned. The entire rear end went bad (out of warranty of course), the AC compressor seized up causing problems where the hole AC system had to be replaced. The radiator tank cracked resulting in an overheating condition that was caught in time and repaired before the engine went bad too. It continuely had a flickering light issue up until the time that I divorced it from my fleet.

If we had lambo's at $200,000 plus each we'd find problems. Thats just how it is. It's man made. (you don't here about enzo's and such having problems , because nobody that spends that type of ching is gonna tell you theres issues, But there are)
