Intense rocking and bouncing from side to side.
Hello I have a 2006 chevy hhr lt 2.4L and a couple of months ago I replaced the front struts and back shocks but it seems like the suspension is worse in the back now. The front struts seem to be good but when I drive on a bumpy road my car feels like it's in an earthquake. The car is still really bouncy. The back shocks move up and down a little bit but the back struts seem to be really loose. When I look up info on chevy hhr back struts I get nothing. Anyone have any guesses that can help with making this car drive like a car again?

HHR's don't have rear struts. Just springs and shocks back there.
Take a look in the back. You may have a broken spring(s). |
X2 check for cracked coils and loose shock bolts!

OR, somebody didn't bolt the shock on.

Could be

Or something is amiss with the front strut replacement.

Sometimes the broken rear spring on a HHR can be hard to spot. Just have to get under there and give it a close inspection.
