PM'd you the name and e-mail address of the Chevrolet zone manager for NY, maybe he can point you in the direction of someone who can help you out with your rust issues.

Update on paint issue.

You know the 1st door repair only lasted a few weeks before the rust came back.

Before the hhr went off B-B I called 1 dealer and there answer was oh ya we can fix it.

When I asked the paint process they told me the same ol thing standard sand prime and paint.

So I called dealer 2 and was told = sand, special green primer, paint and special sealer.
And if the rust comes back in a year or so they will look at it. ?

When we got the hhr back from what GM called a redo under warranty from dealer 2 it looked great with a thickerpaint job over the pinch weld or seam.

This dealer went out of there way when doing my serice work = install running boards
[$500 installed] and replace 1 headlight bulb.

We have about 1000 miles on it and my wife loves it, and I think it's OK.

1 thing is all the new vehicles look the same u can't tell a hondi, mitshubshee, toyotee, ford or chevie apart. The HHR has a look of it's own. Kool

So glad things had a positive outcome, I was wondering how you were making out with the rust issues. Sounds like you've made it over some bumps in the road on you way to HHR happiness.
